Dynamic max-consensus with local self-tuning

چکیده

This work describes a novel control protocol for multi-agent systems to solve the dynamic max-consensus problem. In this problem, each agent has access an external time-varying scalar signal and objective estimate track maximum among all these signals by exploiting only local communications. The main strength of proposed is that it able self-tune its internal parameters in order achieve arbitrary small steady-state error without significantly affecting convergence time. We employ context distributed graph parameter estimations, such as size, diameter, radius, provide simulations scenario open systems.

Distributed self-tuning consensus and synchronization

The problem of self-tuning of coupling parameters in multi-agent systems is considered. Agent dynamics are described by a discrete-time double integrator with unknown input gain. Each agent locally tunes the strength of interaction with neighboring agents by using a normalized gradient algorithm (NGA). The tuning algorithm minimizes the square of the error between an individual agent’s state (v...

A Self-Tuning Job Scheduler Family with Dynamic Policy Switching

The performance of job scheduling policies strongly depends on the properties of the incoming jobs. If the job characteristics often change, the scheduling policy should follow these changes. For this purpose the dynP job scheduler family has been developed. The idea is to dynamically switch the scheduling policy during runtime. In a basic version the policy switching is controlled by two param...

Remora: A Dynamic Self-Tuning Processor

This paper describes a self-tuning architecture that dynamically adjusts the frequency of the processor to run at the highest speed it can sustain without causing errors. This frequency is determined through dynamic verification, an online error checking technique that uses a second, simpler processor to redundantly execute instructions, detecting both design errors and transient faults.

Self Tuning With Self Confidence∗

Recent research on managing complex computing systems has focused on the autonomic computing vision: Systems should manage themselves according to high level administrative goals [5]. As an example, system components should monitor the environment and self-tune to meet quality of service expectations, without requiring manual intervention in selecting concrete configuration options or in coordi...

Local Model Networks and Self - Tuning PredictiveControlReport : CSC - 96001

Methods drawn from control theory { Generalised Predictive Control and self-tuning control { are brought together with methods drawn from Neural Networks { Local Model Networks and Modular Neural Networks { to give a multiple-model adaptive algorithm for the control of non-linear systems whose dynamics depend on an unknown external signal. The method overcomes the \stability-plasticity dilemma"...
